Rochester Retro is a variant on Retro that aligns with Standard UniVersus.

Here are the rules:

Legal Sets: Same as Retro. All cards printed since Red Horizon (RH01). Ban List: Same as UVS Games official retro ban list.

Differences from Retro: Resource restriction as in Standard: Decks must have a main symbol, and all cards in the deck must have either that symbol or Attuned symbol from the starting character. There is no symbol chaining in this format.

Attacking on the first turn as in Standard: Neither player may attack on the first turn of the game.

As a reminder, players may stack characters in their stage as long as they are from the same license and have the same name as normal.
